In April 2021, I was hooked on hyperpop artist aldn’s single, zombie. I had an idea for a Spotify Canvas that captured both the dark themes and the playful instrumental of the song.

I asked my dad to shoot a video of me and my sister walking down our street at night. I took the shot into After Effects and rotoscoped the subjects, and finalized the video with some glow and pixelation effects.

I DM’ed the final product to aldn in hopes that he would like it, and a few days later, he uploaded the video to Spotify. You can listen to the song and see the Canvas here.
